Burger off and move on in Monbulk

Anti-McDonald’s protesters in the Monbulk electorate have thrown their support behind the Labor Party in the lead-up to the Victorian state election. This follows the Opposition’s promise to repeal Premier Napthine’s controversial “move-on” laws, which now give police the right to remove protesters from any site if their actions appear too unruly or obstructive. Members of the “Burger off” organisation consider the law to be a threat to their peaceful campaign against the new McDonald’s restaurant in Tecoma, as Swinburne’s Vincent Dwyer reports.
